It’s our fourth Worldbuilding Wednesday as we gear up towards the final stretch.
This will complete our roster of main characters for Armed Fantasia!

Final AMA on Reddit
We’ll have a great announcement on Friday the 24th to kick off our last week – but for now, the AMA will be your last chance to ask your burning questions to the devs.
We’ll announce the specifics of the AMA in our next Friday update.
Stretch Goals
We continue to move forward and cleared one more AF goal along the way, so we don’t mind telling you… some of the best goals are at the end.
These are the expensive ones and will be further apart than any of the smaller goals in the middle.
We hope these can be reached, but it will take a very strong last week to get there.
- Vehicle Racing Time Attack(CLEARED!)

We will implement a mini-game where players can use the in-game car or airship to race on the World Map to compete for the fastest times on a course.
By beating certain times, you get a reward. And by getting higher rankings, you get special rewards as well. - Additional Languages 1(132,500,000 yen)/[Approx $926,000]

We will add support for languages beyond the initial English and Japanese support so that players from other countries can enjoy the game.
This time, we’re adding Chinese and Korean support. - Treasure Map System(135,000,000 yen)/[Approx. $940,000]

We will implement a mini-game where players gain maps with hints to hidden treasures all across the world.
The harder the treasure is to find, the better the items will be. Some will even help you on your adventure. - HINT: Pickin’ Fights(????yen)

Community Game
We are 2 full days into our community game battle and things are not looking great.
Neither team has been able to complete a goal leaving those additional art pages in the standard art book and the double sided art in peril!
We knew these would be tough battles but really hope you can help our heroes pull through!
Discord Roles Key Information and Mini-FAQ
We’ve had a lot of questions about Discord Roles so let’s explain what they are and what you can do!
First off, if you haven’t joined the DIscord, we strongly recommend that you do.
You can talk with other fans, sometimes catch the main creators doing AMAs, and even participate in a wide variety of contests, votes, and challenges.
Initially we have 3 roles:
- Pathfinder –

This is a role you receive from backing any Armed Fantasia reward tier.
This marks you as one of the original backers that helped bring this game to fruition!
Many non-backers will be joining the Discord as we develop and launch the game but this role tag is your proof that you were a true-believer and you made this happen! - Agent of the B.O.I. –

The B.O.I. needs a few good people and this role indicates that you backed Penny Blood at one of its reward tiers.
This will show the rest of the world you proved the world needs more gothic JRPG horror games from Machida Matsuzo! - JRPG Fan –

This is a reward role for any backer who supported both games either through combo tiers or combo add-ons.
This shows you are here for the JRPGs!
You may be a fan of one or the other but you found it in your heart to back both games!
We will have JRPG channels on both the Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood servers that only backers with these roles can join.
We will provide some early looks at some in game art/sketches/etc in this channel before making it public in the main Discord channels.

I ordered an AF reward and PB as an add-on.
Will I get the JRPG Fan Role, the Pathfinder Role, and the Agent of the B.O.I. Role.
I chose a combo reward with both games but don’t want the JRPG Fan Role.
Can I get the Pathfinder Role and Agent of the B.O.I. Role instead?
Can I give my role to someone else (in case you bought multiple copies)?

Mercedes Rosenberg
Birthday: February 7th
Age: 23
Height: 5’5″
Type: Tall and handsome. She falls for them so hard she wants to kill them.
- History:

Born to a family of alchemists with a history that goes back even further than the Order. She showed talent even from a young age, and much is expected from her in the future. She had a bright future ahead of her, until an incident wiped out not only her family, but the inhabitants of her town, leaving her the only survivor.
- Personality:
-
Her manner of speaking might betray her wonderful upbringing, but memories of the tragic event leave her with intense desire of revenge towards the handsome villain responsible. She is typically self-righteous, putting everything on the back burner in her pursuit for revenge, but somehow always winds up unconsciously helping those in need.
- Battle:
-
She specializes in gatling gun ARMs that rain down bullets on her opponents. She can cover a large area in one move, taking down multiple minor enemies or deal lots of damage to a single opponent if she focuses her sights on them.
Comment from Character Designer Tomomi Sasaki:
I wanted to bring out the Western side in this design, but I ended up leaning a bit into the Steampunk side.
You can’t tell from the front, but the design actually shows a lot of her bare legs.
Sigurd Geiermeier
Birthday: December 24th
Age: 30
Height: 6’1″
Favorite Meal: Hot tea over salmon on rice (with a touch of wasabi). Does NOT like pickled plums.

He once worked for the Order as their fang cutting down anyone who would illegally misuse ARMs. However, he wound up splitting from them. And now the hunter has become the hunted, complete with a bounty on his head.
- Personality:
-
The gaze of his one eye is sharp, giving him the aura of a wounded beast. Having lost direction and his own sense of justice, he tends to avoid letting others get too close. Nonetheless, once he puts his trust in you, you will have a hot-blooded warrior with a strong fighting spirit on your side.
- Battle:
-
He specializes in the keen blade of the katana-type ARMs. With the flash of his blade, his special techniques rely on speed and precision more than strength, to create an intense presence on the battlefield, particularly in battles against single opponents. Sigurd is easily the greatest attacker in the party.

I made his hair dark black and indigo for maximum character expression.
I went for a cool guy design that would go well with his katana weapon.
Soleil Ainsley
Birthday: July 16th
Age: 14
Height: 5’0″
Favorite Rations: Jelly beans, chocolate candies.
- History:

She comes from a remote hidden village that focuses on anti-Anomaly efforts. She was happily living a carefree life when her uncle sent her out in the wilderness to broaden her views. Through various events, she finds herself surrounded by new friends and discovering the secrets of the world.
- Personality:
-
Introverted and cautious, Soleil lacks assertiveness but always sees a job through to the end. She chooses not to speak much in order to avoid conflict but has developed a shrewd means of saying harsh things while supposedly quoting Strisch.
- Battle:
-
She specializes in the sharp blows from fist weapon ARMs. These weapons extend energy fields from the fists allowing them to be used for defense as well as offense. She also excels at skills that give status effects to the enemy. She is a technical fighter useful on the front lines as well as giving support.
Comment from Character Designer Tomomi Sasaki:
The ninja-like design I had got less and less distinct the more we adjusted it.
The diagonal lines are the remains of a chain-mail like pattern that was once there.
Strisch
Setting: Native creature called an “Izuna”. Often found in forests.
Doesn’t like most people, but gets along with Soleil and is always with her.
They also don’t understand the human tongue and subsequently cannot speak it.
However, Soleil understands what Strisch says (supposedly?).
Strisch will also obey Soleil and operate switches in faraway areas and grab items for her.
And that closes our next to last Worldbuilding Wednesday.
